The release date for this breathtaking stop-motion animated feature, which we previously posted the first trailer for, is still slated for December on Netflix. In search of a place in the world, Pinocchio embarks on a series of mischievous and rebellious experiences, which are chronicled in this musical. Featuring an all-star voice cast led by Ewan McGregor as Cricket, David Bradley as Geppetto, and Gregory Mann as Pinocchio, the film was directed by del Toro and Mark Gustafson. This brief includes various scale models that Guillermo appears excited to display as well as some of the animation and character creation process. I completely agree with him that stop-motion has a mystical quality to it that other VFX cannot match. It has a very unique quality.
