As resellers thwart the comedian's hopes for a reasonable price, Peter Kay tickets are being sold for an eye-watering £900.
After a 12-year hiatus, the Bolton-born musician, 49, revealed this week that he would go on another tour, sending fans into a frenzy.
However, they are now furious since after the tickets went on pre-sale today, others are selling them for an unbelievable price (Nov 10).
"With the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting at £35 - the same price they were on my previous tour in 2010," Peter stated after announcing the long-awaited news of his return.
However, now that the resellers have them, they are being sold for much more.
A follower tweeted: "Why are Peter Kay tickets already going for £900+ on resale? This is a joke. Should not have permitted reselling."
"Again 'fans' seeking to make profit are at it again as resale tickets are starting to be posted," a different person bemoaned.
Another added: "It happened with Harry Styles, Coldplay, and nearly every other major ticket release this year as people try to make a profit off of anxious fans."
Today at 10 a.m., the pre-sale for the concert began. Three and O2/Virgin Media network accounts gave fans access codes via a mobile app, which they could then use on Ticketmaster or SeeTickets.
But after only a few minutes, the O2 Priority website appeared to fail, leaving fans less than satisfied.
As Peter Kay tickets were due to go on sale, fans went to Twitter to express their outrage, with one stating that the "O2 priority website crashed and is not working."
"Peter Kay has crashed every app running as if acquiring tickets wouldn't already be hard to get," the second person said.
O2 addressed the criticism and stated: "Peter Kay is in extremely high demand right now. Priority's website and app are difficult to access before 10am, and we are working to fix this. I appreciate your patience, please."
