Aneri Vajani (born March 26, 1994) is an Indian television actress who predominantly works in Hindi. In 2012, she made her acting debut as Paakhi in Kaali - Ek Punar Avatar. Vajani is well known for her roles in Nisha Aur Uske Cousins and Beyhadh as Nisha Gangwal and Saanjh Mathur, respectively.
Vajani played Pari Malhotra in the web series Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka Season 2, Pavitra Bhagya's Pranati Mishra, and Anupamaa's Malvika Kapadia.
Vajani was born on March 26, 1994, in a Gujarati household.
Career Launch and Breakthrough (2012-2015)
In 2012, Vajani made her acting debut as Paakhi in Kaali - Ek Punar Avatar. It was based on the famous Nitish Katara murder case and ended in 2013. She then portrayed Shanaya Khan in the 2013 television series Crazy Stupid Ishq, with Hiba Nawab, Harsh Rajput, and Vishal Vashishtha.
From 2014 to 2015, Vajani played Nisha Gangwal Kumar opposite Mishkat Varma in Nisha Aur Uske Cousins. Her performance as Nisha garnered her a nomination for an Indian Telly Award for Fresh New Face - Female. In Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya Season 7, she portrayed Arushi, a swimmer.
Success and leadership roles (2016-2020)
From 2016 to 2017, Vajani played Saanjh Mathur Sharma in Beyhadh alongside Kushal Tandon and Jennifer Winget. She was praised for her performance. She later starred as Riddhi in Season 4 of Yeh Hai Aashiqui, when she reunited with Varma.
She played Tulsi in Arre's I Don't Watch TV in 2016. It was her first web appearance. In 2018, she starred as Shreya opposite Samridh Bawa in Laal Ishq. She played Pari Malhotra in Voot's Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka Season 2 alongside Kunal Jaisingh.
Vajani next appeared in Pavitra Bhagya as Pranati Mishra Khurana, when she reunited with Jaisingh. Her performance earned her an ITA Award nomination for Best Actress Popular. She then starred in MX Player's web series Cookiees as Arundhati Singh.
Recent work and future plans (2021-present)
She made her film debut as Priyanka in the Telugu film FCUK: Father Chitti Umaa Kaarthik. In the short film I Hate Goodbyes, she played the character Aneri.
She began playing Malvika Kapadia in Anupamaa in 2021. She left the show permanently in 2022 to compete in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, citing that "there is no scope for her role to return."
In 2022, she participated in the music video Phase.
