In Freddie Gibbs' most recent Funk Flex freestyle, he criticises R. Kelly and Akademiks.
In his over two minute-long freestyle, Gangsta Gibbs took shots at both the disgraced R&B singer and the Hip Hop media figure while rhyming over the instrumental of Amerie's 2002 song "Why Don't We Fall In Love."
The Gary, Indiana native claimed, "On my Spike Lee, I might might direct, produce, and star me / Fuck R. Kelly, bitch I'm the new King of R&B."
That line was mild in comparison to what he had prepared for Akademiks, with whom he has been engaged in a protracted dispute since 2020.
He rapped, leaving Flex in disbelief, "Bout to squeeze Akademiks' titties, I love a fat bitch / You a dick-in-the-booty n-gga, go get the strap, bitch."
Gibbs made it clear that he has no interest in patching things up with any of his adversaries. He has also just became embroiled in a heated dispute with Benny The Butcher.
After the freestyle, Freddie Gibbs genuinely offered Akademiks a peace offering despite his angry rhymes. He told Flex, "I love Akademiks. "We're going to sit down, but you had to get that stuff for all that shit you've been kicking," said the other person.
"I think we'd definitely get along well if we talked," he continued. I agree with you. I adore it and will absorb anything he says. However, you have to accept it when I give back.
The Alfredo MC further stated that while he loves "Ignition" hitmaker R. Kelly and had only been "joking" with his remarks, he does not support the horrible crimes that have landed him in prison.
R. Kelly is a man from the Midwest. He said, "You know I love him. "You know, I got love for you, even though I don't love what you did and all that trash," the n-gga in R&B.
After learning that Kelly was "down bad on the books," Gibbs likewise made light of the situation by joking about contributing to his depleted commissary budget. He made a joke, leaving Flex in stitches, saying, "I got you, Sylvester."
The ESGN boss assured fans that there is no animosity between him and another musical legend, LL COOL J, by talking about a brief altercation they had before to his freestyle.
