Recently, AI-generated art has gained popularity, and one artist even employed the technology to revive famous people.

Alper Yesiltas, a photographer and attorney, has employed AI technology to create images of superstars as if they were still alive.

Kurt Cobain, Freddie Mercury, John Lennon, Janis Joplin, and Tupac are all featured in his first collection.

The first collection of the project, named "As If Nothing Happened," which includes AI-generated photographs of an older Freddie Mercury, Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Princess Diana, and Bruce Lee, was recently shared by the Istanbul-based artist.
Yesiltas expressed his excitement for the project in a blog post, saying, "With the advancement of AI technology, I've been excited for a while, thinking that "everything imagined can be shown in reality."

When I first began experimenting with technology, I considered what would bring me the most joy. This idea came about because I wanted to see some of the people I missed again in front of me.

Making the image feel "real" to me is the hardest aspect of the creative process for me. The part I enjoy the most is when I believe the picture in front of me is really realistic and appears to have been captured by a photographer.

Yesiltas used technologies like Adobe Lightroom and VSCO as well as the AI photo enhancer Remini to generate the photographs.

AI has previously been used to recreate the brilliance of deceased celebrities. Songs in the vein of performers who passed away at the age of 27 including Cobain and Hendrix were composed in 2021 using Google's AI application Magenta.
