She is best known for her role as the titular character in the action-thriller film The Witch: Part 1. (2018). She is also well-known for her roles in the TV shows Itaewon Class (2020) and Our Beloved Summer (2021-2022).** Career**** **Kim made her acting debut in the 2017 independent film Project With The Same Name, an omnibus feature film produced annually, in the episode "Hello, My Hard Work," playing a woman who had recently broken up.** Kim starred as a high school student in the 2018 mystery thriller film Marionette. The same year, she played the lead role of Koo Ja-yoon in the action-thriller film The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion, directed by Park Hoon-jung, after being chosen from a pool of 1,500 candidates. She received widespread acclaim for her strong performance in a difficult role that included intense fighting scenes, and she won a slew of newcomer awards. A sequel is planned as a result of the success and popularity of The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion. Kim made her television debut in the JTBC television series Itaewon Class, which was based on the webtoon of the same name, in 2020. She received the Best New Actress (TV) Award at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards for her performance in the drama. Kim was confirmed in March 2021 to star in the SBS drama Our Beloved Summer alongside Choi Woo-shik, which premieres in December 2021. Kim and Choi were reunited in the drama after The Witch: Part 1. (2018). Kim decided not to renew her contract with ANDMARQ in May 2022.
